The Eagle Group is a vertically intergrated nutritional products business that aims to help people live healthier lives by developing, manufacturing, marketing and distributing health food products and nutritional and dietary supplements in China. It is a well-established business with a long operating history since 2001 and a strong growth profile.

The Eagle Group owns and operates a GMP certified manufacturing site located in Tong’an Dsitrict at Xiamen, Fujian Province. The manufacturing facilities, warehouse, R&D and affiliated offices, occupying approximately 27,666 square meters of floor area, are all located at this site. . The Eagle Group manufactures its health food and nutritional and dietary supplements in forms of lozenge, powder, tablets, capsules, granules, bottles and sachets. 

The Eagle Group adopts a market-oriented research and product development process, focusing on evolving consumer health trends in the Chinese market such as antioxidant, sports nutrition, aging population, fertility and children’s health. Its in-house R&D team comprise of 21 employees with bachelor degree or higher qualifications coupled with experience in food science, biotechnology, nutrition or pharmacy. The Eagle Group has established and maintained research arrangements with a number of research institutions and universities in China including Xiamen University, a top 10 university in China. As of 31 December 2016, Xiamen Eagle Don has been granted 18 patents in China including 4 invention patents. Furthermore, the Eagle Group obtained “National High-Tech Enterprise” certification in 2012 and was re-accredited in 2015.

The Eagle Group continuously develops new products to meet consumer needs. Product candidates are complementary to and will enrich the Eagle Group’s existing product portfolio. The Eagle Group has a wide selection of products to cater for different nutritional needs and health requirements of consumers, including natural herb based nutritional products. Furthermore, the Eagle Group will provide high-end nutritional supplements originated in Australia, which not only offers a variety of choices of imported nutritional supplements, but also contributes to a high-quality, healthy lifestyle that consumers may pursue. The Eagle Group targets to be the one-stop-shop to cater for each family’s nutrition needs.

The Eagle Group has established an extensive sales and distribution network and sells its products to 23 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities throughout China. Having an extensive network of distributors has enabled the Eagle Group to cost-effectively market its products across China benefiting from economies of scale and efficiencies in the distribution of its products.

The Eagle Group’s success is largely due to the strength of its brand name, which has been built over 15 years through consistently offering high-quality products and effective marketing strategies.  The Eagle Group develops and promotes its brand by associating it with core value of delivering the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and focusing on our stringent quality control. The Eagle Group uses advertisements on television networks, magazines, outdoor billboards and signage, advertising platforms on buses, online social platforms and networking websites to promote its brand awareness and recognition. 

As of 31 December 2016, the Eagle Group holds 50 registered trade marks in China and registered key trade marks in Hong Kong and Macau.  As a recognition of the brand’s popularity, Xiamen Eagle Don's trademark has been awarded a “Fujian Famous Trademark” since 2007.  


(b)Research and development capability

Research and development is critical to the sustainable growth of the Eagle Group’s business. Its in-house R&D team comprises of 21 employees with bachelor degree or higher qualifications coupled with experience in food science, biotechnology, nutrition or pharmacy. The Eagle Group has established and maintains research arrangements with a number of research institutions and universities in China including Xiamen University. The Eagle Group’s in-house manufacturing capability gives it control and flexibility around new product development, while also aiding its speed to market for new products.

As of 31 December 2016, Xiamen Eagle Don has been granted 18 patents in China including 4 invention patents.  Xiamen Eagle Don has received many awards and recognition for its contribution in intellectual property. Furthermore, Xiamen Eagle Don obtained "National High-Tech Enterprise" certification in 2012 and was re-accredited in 2015. 



       

 


(c)Extensive distribution network

The Eagle Group has established an extensive sales and distribution network and sells its products to 23 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities throughout China.  

As at 31 December 2016, the Eagle Group had generated sales from 258 distributors, selected on their reputation, market coverage, sales experience and the size of their marketing and distribution resources. Having an extensive network of distributors has enabled the Eagle Group to cost-effectively market its products across China benefiting from economies of scale and efficiencies in the distribution of its products. 

The Eagle Group believes that its established distribution network provides it with a solid foundation to continue to expand in its target markets.


(d)Proven vertically integrated operating model

The Eagle Group employs a vertically integrated operating model in which it directly controls key aspects of the value chain, including product development, manufacturing, sales and marketing. This operating model not only gives the Eagle Group better control over its brand image and products quality, but helps it to react quickly to market trends and changes. 

The Eagle Group’s in-house sales and marketing staff control advertising and promotional activities and provide training for distributors, allowing the Eagle Group to maintain consistency of its brand message and make timely adjustments to its marketing efforts. 

The Eagle Group’s products are manufactured in GMP-compliant certified manufacturing facility. Its in-house manufacturing operations help to maintain strict quality control standards throughout the production process to ensure high quality of its products. The sales team works closely with our product development, manufacturing and marketing teams to quickly incorporate feedback from distributors, retail outlets and end customers into our product development and sales and advertising programs.
